What are Torches?

Torches are a method of creating large amounts of heat in a specific area. Torches are a more intense version of the lighter that we all know and love. Dab torches typically use butane. Burning butane allows you to get to extreme temperatures. As high as 2000 degrees! When you are taking a dab, you need that high level of heat to be able to turn your concentrate into vapor. What do you use a torch for?

Typically you will use a torch to heat a high-quality quartz glass banger. Quartz bangers are really good at retaining heat, which can also be essential to the dabbing process. Every now and then an invention comes around that changes the game so much, you can imagine a world without it. For us, that’s hemp wick. Hemp wick is a spool of wax dipped wick made from hemp plant fibers, that you burn! Hemp wick burns at a lower temperature than your average lighter. Making it perfect for herb. When burned at a lower temperature you can pull out different flavors and terpenes from the plant that you are burning. 

When using hemp wick, you aren’t inhaling any of the butane from a normal lighter. So now, you have one less thing to worry about! Hemp wick burns slow so you don’t have to worry about using it all up quickly! To use it, all you have to do is hold the hemp wick with the end of the line holding up. Then, light the hemp wick. Once lit, keep the flame away from the rest of the line, so you don’t burn up everything.
