Components of a Bong
Downstem
A downstem is a long tube with two open ends connecting a bong to a bowl. Though the downstem is a removable part of the bong, some bongs have this as a non-removable component and are called percolator bongs. (However, it's ideal to choose bongs with a detachable downstem called a diffused downstem because it's harder to clean a percolator bong.)
A downstem comes with tiny pores which help your accessory to break up the smoke before it enters the water. When the downstem fills more bubbles, more vapor gets cooled for you to inhale as it moves to the tube.

Ice Pinch

How to Clean a Bong?

How Much Water Do I Need in My Bong?
