Double Percolator Bongs

What is a Double Percolator Bong?

A double percolator bong is a water pipe that features two separate percolators, usually stacked on top of each other in different chambers. This design forces the smoke to pass through two rounds of water filtration before it reaches your lungs. The result is a significantly smoother, cooler, and cleaner hit compared to a single percolator or a bong with no percolator at all.

How Do Double Percolators Work?

The magic of a double percolator lies in its two-stage filtration process:

1. First Filtration: Smoke is pulled through the downstem and into the main water chamber for its initial filtration.
2. Second Filtration: The smoke travels into the first percolator, where it’s diffused into smaller bubbles to cool and filter further.
3. Third Filtration: Finally, the smoke enters the second percolator for a final round of diffusion before being inhaled.

This multi-stage process removes more impurities, cools the smoke to a comfortable temperature, and delivers an incredibly smooth and flavorful hit.

The Benefits of a Double Perc Bong

• Maximum Filtration: Two percolators mean twice the filtration, resulting in a cleaner and healthier smoking experience.
• Cooler, Smoother Hits: The extended filtration path cools the smoke significantly, reducing harshness and throat irritation.
• Enhanced Flavor: By removing impurities, double percs allow you to taste the full flavor profile of your herbs.
• Impressive Visuals: The bubbling action of two percolators is a mesmerizing sight to behold.

• Inline Perc + UFO Perc: Great balance of flavor and filtration.

Double Percolator Bong FAQs

Are double percs harder to clean?

Yes, they can be more challenging to clean than single perc bongs. We recommend using a quality cleaning solution and a set of brushes to keep your piece in top condition.

Do double percs create more drag?

They can, but it depends on the percolator types and the overall bong design. A well-designed double perc bong will deliver smooth hits with minimal drag.
